Title:  Fedstats Relation Browser

Description:
This is the original application for the Relation Browser software.  It provides an overview of web sites hosted by the federal government agencies who are providers of statistical information to the public.

 

Amy Carlson

Title: CGI form for data entry (in progress)

Description:
Amy is extending the GRB by creating a web-based form that will give information providers the ability to create their own instance of the GRB.

 

Zhen Zhen Deng

Title: Overview of Ad*Access Ads Collection Data

Description:
The applet provides an overview of  some main attributes’ distribution among the five categories in Ad*Access, an online ads collection.  Main advantages: intuitive, dramatically increase the information quantity that can be held in one screen space. Title: Overview of information available at the F. Stuart Chapin Library Website

Description:
The Relation Browser Mark III for the F. Stuart Chapin Jr. Planning Library is intended to act as an index for the various organizations
referred to by the UNC Planning Library. These organizations are grouped physically by regional location, as well as by the type of affiliation (private, public, or educational). Each organization may focus on a variety of topics related to the planning profession.

Title: Planted Tank Photo Archive Overview

Description:
Aquatic plants sharing a 10 gallon world with catfish, algae eaters, and a family of guppies! Witness the evolution of a planted tank as new plants are introduced and older ones are traded out.

Title: Overview of ARLIS Membership Data

Description:
The ARLIS/NA (Art Librarians Association) is organized by multiple geographical regions. There are four types of membership, mostly individual
or institutional. It is also interesting and useful to see membership by the type of organization, such as museum or educational. The URLs will link either to an institutional home page or directly to a library's page when that data was available.

 

Zac Kohn

Title: Hanging out in the Triangle

Description: 
There are many fine establishments in the Triangle in which to while away the evenings. This browser breaks down the local bars and clubs by location, beverages and entertainment.

 

Xiangming "Simon" Mu

Title: Overview of Companies and their stocks

Description:
This database contains information about companies selected fromNorthWind (a sample database supplied with Microsoft Access). All the data is fake (do not believe it!) and the URL link is referred to Yahoo. It demonstrates the information about the infrastructure, stock value, profiles of each company which comes from several counties.

Title: Overview of Halloween-Related Sites and Information

Description:
This Halloween database provides URLS based on the categories: Halloween folklore, foods, arts n' crafts, and current events. The browser allows the user to view the number of data type and multi-media elements as well as regions and dates associated with each category.

 

Adam Smith

Title: Stock Photo Imagery Overview

Description:
This interface organizes stock imagery web resources. This currently
includes stock photos (both Royalty Free and Rights Controlled), illustrations, fine art and historical images. My collection of sites is really only the tip of the iceberg. There are many more sites out there that could be added to this system. 

Previews of important factors that pertain to online image databases
include whether you can pay online, whether browsing or keyword searches are supported, if lightboxes are supplied to organize chosen images, and whether or not any languages besides English are used on the site.
